Reach Out

In the framework of the initiative TANZPAKT RECONNECT three 3-day meetings in 2021 are being organized by Eva Meyer-Keller. In the REACH OUT encounters the participants engage with each other, each one is conceptualized together with a fellow artist. The REACH OUT gatherings open a space of exchange with fellow artists, choreographers, producers, researchers, & curators who tend to work inter-disciplinary in the fields of performance & visual art. We invite ourselves to reflect on concerns that feel urgent in each of our lives/practices, and to explore them by sharing time, space, meals, experiences, practices, strategies, methods and knowledges with each other. The first REACH OUT focused on possible futures. Based on our individual professional and personal experiences, how do we imagine our futures to be? What future stories can be told? The second edition was driven by an interest in different forms and shapes of working in the artistic field. How can we live sustainably in the 'independent scene'? The exchange followed a guided but open form, receptive to all kinds of imaginative responses, and knitted together by the group itself. The third REACH OUT will take place in October. After the third meeting, a reader will be published, providing insights into the process and the various viewpoints of the participating artists.
